monoking productions was originally a shop in 2015 through another medium that sold handmade pride pins and bookmarks. i (mx. monoking themself) eventually shut down the shop since it was hard to get business through the obscure storefront i was using, and it was hard to manage the payment processing manually.
i've been a crafter all my life, child of the internet who likes to make fun things and hoards a lot of free patterns. starting about 2021, i really wanted to sell my handmade items again, but etsy and other websites just seemed so complicated... and then in 2022, the way etsy treats its sellers compared to the CEO got brought to public attention. after that, i decided i'd really rather not use a platform like etsy that treats people so badly. it's taken me a while to get a storefront set up, but now it's TIME. the worms must be let free
